Thame Cerulian was a famed Jedi Master who took Dooku as his Padawan in 89 BBY.

Cerulian sat on the Jedi High Council around fifty years before Dooku eventually left the Jedi Order. He was very interested in history and Sith holocrons, as he believed the Jedi would have to fight the Sith again eventually.
