From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
Garrett Gilchrist is a passionate Star Wars fan and filmmaker, educated at USC's film school.
In addition to his own films, like Gods of Los Angeles, he is known for his documentary Deleted Magic, which takes an in-depth look at the original Star Wars film. He has also worked on preservations of the original theatrical versions of the original trilogy, which he calls the "Classic Editions." In May 2005, he, along with SKot Kirkwood, undertook a project to recreate the original version of Return of the Ewok, using fan bootleg recordings from conventions and any other footage the two guys could locate.
His various Star Wars projects can be found at OriginalTrilogy.com.
His own website appears at orangecow.org. The site contains information about his original films, such as the feature-length drama Gods of Los Angeles. Garrett has directed seven features and over thirty shorts. He is also an animator, graphic artist, stand-up comedian, actor, and founder of the underground filmmaking forum FFrevolution.com.
He is also known for his preservation of rare clips related to Monty Python, Neil Innes and the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. In 2006 he took on a restoration of Richard Williams' unfinished animated classic, The Thief and the Cobbler.
He lives in Los Angeles.
