Elstree Studios
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
- "We could have shot anywhere in the world, but Elstree is our home."
- ―Rick McCallum about shooting for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith at Elstree[src]
Elstree Studios are located near London, in Borehamwood. It was the place where George Lucas filmed most of the original Star Wars movies. The studio was used very little for the prequels, with only a few pick-up shots for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith being shot there. Fox Studios, Sydney and Leavesden Studios were mainly used instead.
