David Tomblin was the first assistant director on Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983). He also wrote and directed Warwick Davis' short film Return of the Ewok during production on Return of the Jedi in 1982.
