A Clone Apart is a mini-series made entirely in Star Wars: Battlefront II using a technique known as machinima. It tells the story of Danson Delta-40, a clone trooper who ends up in the original trilogy galaxy.

Danson Delta-40 is the sole survivor of the latest failed batch of clone soldiers, hurriedly created to provide enough troops so the Galactic Republic can win the war that eats at its very foundations. Unfortunately, Danson isn't exactly your model soldier. He's had no training. He doesn't even know how to fire his rifle,and still they expect him to fight. And he questions the rather … questionable practices of the army founded on the "overwhelm them with many in useless plastic armor" principle. Unacceptable.
Fortunately, Danson's destiny lies elsewhere. When he accidentally steps through a portal in time/space one day, he begins his quest to find a place where he truly belongs … in the underbelly of the events of the original Star Wars trilogy. The lone representative of the world of the prequel trilogy, Danson finds that many of things don't add up, and that he isn't exactly welcome either. From jobs with both the Imperial and Rebel armies to bounty hunting with Boba Fett and other private-sector jobs (such as mining lava on Mustafar), Danson and his few loyal compatriots cast a new glance onto a story so familiar, showing what really happened behind the scenes.
Shot entirely in the Star Wars: Battlefront II engine, Star Wars: A Clone Apart is a web series that promises to give viewers a new look at this classic universe in the tradition of machinima like Red vs Blue.

Bhiff Gamma-09, Rook, Admiral Azzhoule, Teflen Mcbomb, Percy "Scout" Beta-266, and Commander Alpha-12 are the main characters, all who associate with Danson Delta-40.
Danson's story starts on Kamino where Commander Alpha-12 is coming to pick up a new unit for the Clone Army, though when he arrives, he discovers that half of them are dead.
Danson then travels to Utapau to retrieve a Mygeetan power crystal which has fallen into Separatist hands. Alpha-12 and Bhiff actually destroy the crystal and create a time wormhole, which gives Danson a choice between death by Droideka, or wormhole. Danson chooses the wormhole and ends up on the Tantive IV in the middle of an Imperial assault on the ship to retrieve stolen plans for the first Death Star. From then, Danson meets up with Bhiff and begins his adventures. They begin by touring the Death Star and meeting Rook, a dark trooper. Danson's status is then changed from dead to living and he is sent to Tatooine where many other events occur. These include his first kill, the hunt for Ben Kenobi, and a run-in with Boba Fett who Danson first believes to be Jango Fett. After letting the Millennium Falcon escape, Admiral Azzhoule sentences him with high treason. However, Bhiff lets Danson escape and will cover for him by telling Azzhoule he left for Alderaan. Danson will eventually have a meeting with Jabba the Hutt, and a relationship between him and a Rebel soldier. It has been shown Admiral Azzhoule will be killed via Force choke by Darth Vader and Alpha 12 will take his place.

A Clone Apart was later removed from YouTube due to the huge Viacom lawsuit against the website. Many fans from the films were upset, and even the creator of the series described the injustice as "lame". The series is still available on the website and has recently been put back on YouTube. Also, it has been confirmed that a 4th episode will be released soon, as it has been confirmed by the website that they have finished recording the voices for this episode. However, as of November 2008 no new information or episodes have emerged.
